Jan 24th Email - Hey all! This'll be quick but I promise to write a fatter email next week on my journey out here. But just a lil update: Transfers were last week and I will be staying in La Joya. My new companion is Elder Jensen, from Idaho. He's a great dude. My last companion, Elder Clark dipped to another area and I'm beyond grateful for the time and experiences we had together, and the many many things that were learned. To whoever reads this that may be struggling with any questions, fears, doubts, or anything please look up to God. Reach out to trusted loved ones, or even to me! Remember that God's purpose is our progression, and we progress as we rely and trust wholly upon the lord. He lives and I know it. You all are awesome! Continue to Follow Christ

I hope everyone is doing splendid:) it's been a great week! It got pretty cold these last few days, it probably got down in the 30s, which honestly isn't likely to happen. So for the people here in South Texas that's a big deal and some people think it's the end of the world hahah. School was canceled for the kids down here for a day because of it so it was pretty funny just to see how this environment reacts to the cold weather hahaha.
Despite the cold weather, I couldn't be more grateful to be in La Joya Texas. I love the branch I serve in and the amazing people we have met. One of the recent converts in our branch, Kenneth, was able to receive the aaronic priesthood this past Sunday and will be baptizing his half sister this next week. He has had some big challenged in his life but seeing his desire and his faith to press forward in the gospel in spite of those challenges has been a great testimony builder for me. I love seeing the love of Jesus Christ and his gospel change the lives of God's children. Seeing others partake of that happiness and joy brings the same to me as well. This is the Church of Jesus Christ, he is at the head of it and he leads it through a prophet. Knowing this has changed my life and I'm grateful for it everyday! :)
Herro everyone happy Valentines Day

it was a great week and I couldn't be happier to be here in La Joya. I have loved serving here and being a part of the La Joya Branch. The members are too good and have been amazing influences and friends in my life.
Something to remember: I have pondered and come to learn so much of the importance of covenants and ordinances. For those who do not know what that is; a covenant is a pledge or a promise we make with God through his priesthood power and authority that allows us to receive more of God's power and blessings in our lives to become better followers of Christ and receive more joy. An Ordinance is a sacred religious ceremony in which we make those covenants. The reason why I have put so much thought into this is yo realize the true importance of them. Through making covenants with God--such as the ones we make when we are baptized, receive our temple endowment, and temple sealing-- we are able to truly draw nearer and nearer unto God and Jesus Christ. As we keep and honor the covenants we make continually, Jesus Christ endows--or gifts us-- with great power in this life to overcome the adversary and any challenges in life and we are changed through the atonement of Jesus Christ to become who he knows we can become. We are here in this life to progress continually. The way God has provided for us to progress so we can become like him, is through making and keeping covenants through his Holy Priesthood. I hope and pray everyone may understand this haha. I know that this is true and that the priesthood keys to administer those sacred ordinances lie here in the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. This is his kingdom on earth and I have personally experienced great power in my life, especially on my mission, through the covenants I have made with the lord

I love you all and I hope and pray you all may experience the joy of Christ and his gospel:)

What's up todos! Won't make this a long one, I love you all and appreciate everyone of you

I have had a great week here and transfers are tomorrow already! I'll be staying a 3rd here in La Joya staying with Elder Jensen. We are super happy and grateful to serve the lord and share the amazing gospel of Jesus Christ. If anyone knows of anybody who needs a little more peace, a little more joy, a little more light, or a little more direction, remember to "Hold up your light" as shared in 3rd Nephi 18, and share the goodness of Jesus Christ who heals, cleanses, forgives, and changes us through his grace. Have a great week to all!
