Feb 22 email -

Hola todos!  Como están?  Tuve una semana tan loca con el frio en Texas!  Pero ahorita estoy muy bien echándole ganas jajaja.  Anyways if you don't know what's been going on, this past week about 1/3 of Texas lost water and power due to the weather I believe, I'm still not too sure what caused everything but man it was a crazy week.  So sorry I couldn't write an email last Monday, we had no power and electricity and I had no service on my phone.  So it got down to 18 degrees down in Laredo, and I think it was the coldest it has ever been down there.  It was a struggle haha we didn't have power for a couple days so our apartment was freezing.  Thankfully we have some awesome members in our ward that made sure we had food and warm blankets, and they gave us some candles.  We were able to get power again and everything seems to be back to normal now.

So I ended up getting transferred to Elsa, Texas with my new companion, Elder Taylor!  I'm really gonna miss Laredo so much.  I met such amazing people there, and I'll miss all the food and mariachi music.  I couldn't be more grateful to have served Gods children in that area.  I wanna share a beautiful scripture real quick.
Mosiah 16:9
"He is the light and the life of the world; yea, a light that is endless, that can never be darkened; yea, and also a life which is endless, that there can be no more death."
Jesus Christ is the brightest light in our lives.  I know with my whole heart that he loves all of us with a Perfect endless love.   And because he loves us, he wants us to come unto him and live his Gospel so we can have pure joy individually, and in our families.  It's so important to have a testimony and a knowledge of this.  And we can gain a testimony of this through sincere prayer and reading the scriptures, through doing Christ like things, and having faith and trust in god.  I know these things to be true.

I'll wrap up this email now haha I hope everyone can have a great and safe week and feel Gods love.

March 1 email -
Dang this week went by fast.  Nothing crazy happened this week here in Elsa, we're still getting to know the area and such.  But this area is pretty much infested by perros and one dog nipped my leg the other day, so i should probably bring a chancla or something when I go out.  But other than that not so much has happened quite yet so we're gonna grind this week and find the Elect.  We won't always have the success we want, but I'm glad we all have learning experiences that help us learn and grow from mistakes and challenges.  I'm really grateful for the knowledge and wisdom of our Father in Heaven, and I know when we let him prevail, we always find peace and happiness and the guidance and direction we need.  I hope everyone has a great week this week, with school, or reuniting with loved ones and all the above.  Much love.  (Didn't take any cool pics this week so sorry)

March 8 email -

Hello friends and family:)  This will probably be a shorter email but this week honestly was super special.  I learned a lot!  My companion and I have been working really hard.  Elsa is a lot different than Laredo hahah it's a lot more challenging to find those that want to let God prevail, but it just pushes us to do a little better each day.  We've been teaching a man for a couple weeks now and his name is Raymond.  He's an old man and his wife has been in the hospital for a couple weeks and she is very sick.  Unfortunately Raymond has not been able to see his wife during this time.  But he has been willing to let us come into his home and teach him, he's a very loveable and innocent man, and I would love if yall could keep him in your prayers.  I truly hope the spirit will touch his heart so he can make a Covenant with God and be baptized.  I love teaching this gospel.  I know with my whole heart that this is God's work.  I'm so grateful we have a living prophet on the earth, like wow isn't that just so lit!?  Speaking of which, General Conference is coming up, and we can all prepare to listen to the words of God's prophet and his apostles.  I love you all and If anybody is struggling with anything or has a question, pls pls feel free to reach out!  The gospel of Jesus Christ always provides Peace, joy and hope.  I hope everyone has a great week and is safe🙏
