Mel's email from this week:
And just like that I'm finished with my first transfer! It's been an amazing first 6 weeks and, we've been blessed in so many ways. Tomorrow I'll be moving to a new area called Laredo! It's a Spanish speaking area so I'm hype for that, I've loved it here in Beeville but I'm so ready to start practicing my Spanish now lol. Hope yall had a blessed new years! 2020 was a hard year, but I will forever be grateful for it and for the amazing experiences I had during it. This last week couldn't have been better for us. We had another baptism this week! Rickey was one of our investigators and he's gone through a lot, especially in just these last couple weeks. But, his desire to be baptized and willingness to serve God, was such a beautiful experience to witness. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have met him. We had 10 investigators come to church yesterday and wow, God is too good. |
But other than that, the mission life has been treating me well, the biking life is pretty lit, and I cannot complain about the food here! Smoked brisket here is somethin else. It'll be sad leaving Beevilee, and the amazing people we met here, but I am too hype for Laredo as well its gonna be a party and the food will be unimaginable. Can't wait to try some real Mexican tacos, a gift given directly from heaven but more importantly, I can't wait to meet the people of Laredo and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them. That's truly the greatest gift from God:) Well that's all you'll hear from me this week hehe. Ohhhh beeeeep, I know you thought there was more but nah. Lol anyways, hope everyone is enjoying life and doing fabulous. |
