This weeks email (12/21/20)


Ohhh beeep! Sup everyone, my trainer Elder Christensen says "ohhh beeeep" nonstop and its the funniest thing lol anyways this week was pretty lit, the hard work is paying off and we're getting a lot of success.  We had our mission Christmas conference on Thursday and it was a good time!  Saw a lot of my friends from my mtc district and kids that went to my high school!  It was awesome being able to hang with all the missionaries, I love this mission and our mission president, President Ocampo.  He's such a beast and a solid dude.  


We've got 2 baptisms set for this next Sunday and I couldn't be happier.  Our most progressive investigator is an awesome guy.  His name is Ricky, he loves what we teach and he knows this church is true.  Unfortunately, Ricky is really struggling right now financially.  He is currently homeless and he was in the hospital a couple days ago with stomach pains.  If you guys could keep him in your prayers, that would be amazing and is much needed.🙏  This man is a very humble and loving person, and im so proud of him for wanting to follow Christ and be baptized.  

Other than that, I'm really loving my area and the people here.  I do be missing mountains like crazy hahaha but Texas has got the most amazing sunsets, the sky turns to a peach every night and it's dope.  Alsoooo Christmas is this week ohhhh beeeep!  I hope yall have a fantastic Christmas this week!  I invite everyone to continue to serve and love one another just as Jesus did.  Merry Christmas Everyone!!

  Feb 7th email -  Hello everyone!  Thought it'd be good to update you all again  We had transfers on Monday.  After 6 months together, one of my companions Elder Iverson has left the area. I'm gonna miss him! It was an amazing ride and I'll be grateful for his influence always.  I am still with Elder Havea and am on my 16th and final transfer.  Our friend Edgar was baptized a couple weeks ago!  We have been so blessed to see such great success in this area.  I love this area and the people so much.  I hope everyone back home is doing great!  I would love to hear from anyone!  Love you all

Keep scrolling...  Feb 22 email -  Hola todos!  Como están?  Tuve una semana tan loca con el frio en Texas!  Pero ahorita estoy muy bien echándole ganas jajaja.  Anyways if you don't know what's been going on, this past week about 1/3 of Texas lost water and power due to the weather I believe, I'm still not too sure what caused everything but man it was a crazy week.  So sorry I couldn't write an email last Monday, we had no power and electricity and I had no service on my phone.  So it got down to 18 degrees down in Laredo, and I think it was the coldest it has ever been down there.  It was a struggle haha we didn't have power for a couple days so our apartment was freezing.  Thankfully we have some awesome members in our ward that made sure we had food and warm blankets, and they gave us some candles.  We were able to get power again and everything seems to be back to normal now.   So I ended ...

  Aug 29 email  What's up everyone!  Sorry it has been a minute since I've sent an email.  Things have been crazy!  Sadly, I left Brownsville after an absolute amazing transfer.  Super grateful for the amazing members and friends I met there and for the lessons learned.  My last week there, our friend Jorge chose to follow Jesus Christ and be baptized    I'm now in Mission, Texas and my new companions are Elders Wood and Iverson!  We've been super busy and have been enjoying the work so much.  Excited for the miracles we will see from the lord. I've been studying a lot of the Character of Christ.  Everything that Jesus Christ did was centered on reaching out in love, service and compassion to others.  1 of many things that I've learned on my mission, is that not everything is about me.
